"Can You NOT Make That A Super Size Please ?"

You know, growing up in New York, it was not unusual to see soooo many fast food resteraunts...just in one neighborhood! Honestly speaking though i would have never thought that these lovely decorated franchises, which kids go NUTS for, would be considered a downfall in societies dietary routines and most importantly, the overall health of everyone. Morgan Spurlock and I share almost the same sentiment when it comes to the topic of, "what exactly is behind the face paint of the clown".I gotta admit, its tough to maintain different jobs and school at the same time, and knowing whats gonna be on the stove tonight.A lot of people resort to eating outside however, no one is sure on what exactly is beneficiary. But there is always a choice to be made, and we are the ones that have to make the right ones, not just for ourselves but for the people around us.By pinpointing some essential facts on how the world revolves around these fast food franchises, maybe we can make differences in which the matter can be altered.
Over the years, its become obvious that smoking cigarettes is deadly to your health. but earlier last decade our, Surgeon General, Dr.David Satcher, declared that obesity which can be caused by unhealthy fatty foods of course, had become a national epidemic. The reason? many people consider eating out from these fast food chains for about 4 times a week. some even reach the point where its breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 3 out of the 7 days in the week! but we cant really blame ourselves.Manhattan alone has 87 "mcdonalds" franchise. 1 out of 4 people, were bound to enter a mcdonalds on their way to wherever.Regardless of where a mcdonalds would be, you still wouldnt be able to run away from it. Mcdonalds spent about $1.4 billion advertising.Usually children are the number 1 victims of these lures by the industry.By giving away free toys and furnacing friendly and fun (somewhat) environments, parents would take their own to mcdonalds for a fun filled time. nevertheless, there are families who eat it everyday. over the last 25 years, obesity counts for children have increased by almost double of what it had been.if you decide to research it, it's evident that obesity has overtook smoking as the #1 cause of death in the U.S.
alot of things were made clear to me when i saw the documentary.Morgan expressed the dangers of eating unhealthy foods daily, and it was shown on what was effected the most of his body. there were alot of things that caught my eye about the film. but as i have expressed earlier, mainly what caught my attention was, the decisions of the public. yes there are many franchise chains in one little place but, it should be up to us to put our foot down and say we wont eat it as often.
